Phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA) produced by Paraburkholderia phenazinium CK-PC1 aids postgermination growth of Xyris complanata seedlings with germination induced by Penicillium rolfsii Y-1

چکیده

Abstract Symbiosis of Penicillium rolfsii Y-1 is essential for the seed germination Hawaii yellow-eyed grass (Xyris complanata). However, local soil where plants grow naturally often suppresses radicle growth seedlings. This was drastically restored by coinoculation Paraburkholderia phenazinium isolate CK-PC1, which a rhizobacterium X. complanata. It found that CK-PC1 produced phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA, 1) as major metabolite. The biological effects PCA (1) were investigated using seeds complanata and Mung bean (Vigna radiata) it uncovered symbiosis CK-PC1was postgermination metabolite might partially contribute to promote plants.

Phenazine 1- carboxylic acid (PCA) produced by Pseudomonas aeroginosa MUT.3: a study on its stability and antibacterial activity under various environmental conditions

Phenazine 1-corboxylic acid (PCA) is an antibiotic, which inhibits the growth of a vast number of micro-organisms. PCA has has been applied in fields such as pharmaceutical, agricultural, marine and chemical industries. In this study, the antibiotic properties of PCA (produced by pseudomonas aeruginosa MUT.3, which is kept at the Microbial Collection of Malek Ashtar University of Technology) wa...

The Effect of Phenazine-1-Carboxylic Acid on Mycelial Growth of Botrytis cinerea Produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa LV Strain

One of the most important postharvest plant pathogens that affect strawberries, grapes and tomatoes is Botrytis cinerea, known as gray mold. The fungus remains in latent form until spore germination conditions are good, making infection control difficult, causing great losses in the whole production chain. This study aimed to purify and identify phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA) produced by the...

A kinetic model for phenazine-1-carboxylic acid production by pseudomonas sp. M18G

The development of optimal bacterial strains for industrial scale of fermentation would benefit from a quantitative model of rate of gene expression from DNA to RNA, from DNA to protein, and ultimately from DNA to the metabolites. In this study, we developed such a model for phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA) biosynthesis in Pseudomonas sp. strain M18G. The PCA biosynthesis is controlled by anop...

Production of the antibiotic phenazine-1-carboxylic Acid by fluorescent pseudomonas species in the rhizosphere of wheat.

Pseudomonas fluorescens 2-79 and P. aureofaciens 30-84 produce the antibiotic phenazine-1-carboxylic acid and suppress take-all, an important root disease of wheat caused by Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici. To determine whether the antibiotic is produced in situ, wheat seeds were treated with strain 2-79 or 30-84 or with phenazine-nonproducing mutants or were left untreated and then were s...

Phenazine-1-carboxylic acid, a secondary metabolite of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, alters expression of immunomodulatory proteins by human airway epithelial cells.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram-negative bacterium that causes both acute and chronic lung disease in susceptible patient populations. P. aeruginosa secretes numerous proteins and secondary metabolites, many of which have biological effects that likely contribute to disease pathogenesis. An unidentified small-molecular-weight factor was previously reported to increase IL-8 release both in vitr...
